I started my hand in business at the age of 14 in 1989 with a small A5 size magazine called Exotic Cars, it was 8 pages, a red cover with white internal pages. It was typed stapled in the centre and I printed 100 copies. Lets just say I was heavily into cars at the time. Unfortunately my first foray into magazines didn't work so well and I only sold a handful to family. The second magazine I published was called Advertisement News, it was a news and advertisement magazine, same 8 pages but with a blue cover this time. This also failed to sell more than a handful of copies. It was at this time I became heavily involved in sending away for information on just about everything. Every day I would receive 10 or more letters, magazines, brochures and catalogues to flick through to see what people were offering through mail order.

I happened to send away for a mail order opportunities magazine called The Opportunist. It was published by Shareserv of Morcambe in Lancashire. It was 40 or more pages, A4 and packed to the brim with offers for business opportunities in mail order. Within this magazine was an advertisement for a package of 1 page reports, about 10 or 12 reports with full reproduction rights. This was the turning point for me in business. It was 1991 when I first started to earn real money using these one page reports and it took me on a journey of highs, then lows and highs once more, a journey that I will never forget.

  1. Do you mind if I quote a few of your articles as long as I provide credit and sources back
to your webpage? My blog is in the very same niche as yours and my visitors would genuinely benefit from some of
the information you provide here. Please let me know if this okay with you.
    Thank you!
